After dedicating 26 years to teaching, with a special focus on children with special educational needs, I developed a deep appreciation for creativity and personal expression. My role as Deputy Head for eight years further honed my leadership skills, and during this time, I pursued a degree with the Open University, graduating with a BA (Hons) in Psychology. Initially, I aspired to become an educational psychologist, but I soon realized that my true passion lay in the dynamic environment of a school rather than a peripatetic role.
Upon retiring from teaching, I found myself still full of energy and eager to embrace a new challenge that would allow me to explore my creative instincts. This led me to train as a stylist with Colour Me Beautiful, and I have never looked back. My work as an image consultant allows me to empower individuals by helping them discover colours and styles that enhance their confidence and self-expression.
